Golden Jubilee Celebrations of YUVAK MANDAL

As we all know, this year is Golden Jubilee year of Yuvak Mandal and is planned to be celebrated in a very grand style. Mandal has planned 5 programmes in this year of which 2 have been done with with a grand success.

They are
1) Girnarji Yatra between 4-12-2009 and 09-12-2009.

2) Seminar by Dr. Ashok Sanghavi on 16-01-2010 about "How to be succeesful in Life".

Next 2 programmes are planned for 21-02-2010. They are

1) Prize distribution and 32nd Annual Gathering at Great Escape Water Park

2) Formal inaguration of Web Site of the Mandal by Shri Kantilal V. Vakharia during the Annual Gathering.

And the 5th programme is that of honouring the workers who made the Mandal last for 50 years. All the committee members of all the working committee formed so far will be honoured at a special function to be announced later.

As everybody is aware, these programmes need man power and money management of highest degree and these are to be celebrated with contributions of most members of Samaj. Presently, we have many happy families in the Samaj who can contribute towards the cause of celebrations to make this year a very memorable one. If you are doing a flourishing business or are a successful professional or are a highly placed employee, you can easily contribute a small sum to Mandal. You can give Rs 2500/-towards luncheon or Rs. 1500/- towards advertisement of your organisation in the souvenir to be published on annual day. Many have already contributed. Please do not wait for somebody to call you for the donations or advertisements. Be generous and call any of the office bearers of Yuvak Mandal or Drier Chemicals to donate. We are sure you will not disappoint the commitee members and would give a warm response to this call.

This is over & above the prize money & Silver coin they will get if they are top amongst the students of Samaj. The last date for sending the entry for the above is 13-02-2010. Also, all the prize winners form 1st standard onwards will be honoured with a silver coin as a mark of Golden Jubilee celebration.

Painting Competition of members of Samaj of diferent age groups is also planned on the occassion of launching of our website. You can bring at the Annual Gathering, a nice painting of your choice. The paintings will be judged for prizes amongst the following age groups.

1) 5 years to 10 years 2) 11 years to 15 years 3) 15 years to 21 years 4) Above 21 years.

Winners of the competition will be honoured and his/her painting will be uploaded on our website.

For disciplined management of the event, entry pass to the resort will be available on payment of Rs. 50 per head. If you opt to travel by bus, to be provided by Mandal, then Rs 100/- per person will be charged extra for 2 ways journey. Last date for filing the forms is 14-02-2010. Antrikshji Yatra of Mahila Mandal

Mahila Mandal has to day returned from Religious Yatra of Antrikshji, Balapur, Karanja & Bhandakji. From the experience of this tour, what comes out loud & clear is Mahila Mandal should take the help of those who are good at arranging such pilgrimage tours. Planning and itinerary of this tour was totally faulty. On first day itself , they traveled to all the places and reached Bhandakji in the night. For next 1 and 1/2 day they were stationed at Bhandakji where only one Derasar is existing.

At Bhandakji, the organizers had programmes like Pooja, Samayik and Pratikraman in which many of the ladies were not interested. They, rather, wanted to visit more derasarjis as a result they were discontent.

In worrying about saving the money, the organisers let go so many things which were a must. Firstly they made the members travel in 7-8 Sumo instead of one bus thus depriving them of joy of traveling together. Secondly, There were 8-10 persons in one sumo as a result they traveled uncomfortably. On First day they traveled a lot and missed some worth seeing places as there was shortage of time. And next 2 days there was nothing to be done. Thirdly, instead of having their own caterer, they arranged food from bhojanshala run by trust of the derasarjis. This took away element of variety from the menu. While some members were advised not to go on their own to other places which they obeyed, some relatives of the anchor went on their own in spite of the fact that they were also advised not to go on their own separately. This is being published only with expectation that organizers will look into these issues in the future.

Positive thinking

On 16-01-2010 , Yuvak Mandal had organised a seminar on "How to be successful in life" by Dr. Ashok Sanghavi. The announcement was made in Samaj Utkarsh and also on this blog. About 100 took trouble to come to attend the seminar and rest ignored at their own peril. The seminar was an eye opener and showed a new direction to your thought of living a succesful life. This seminar would have cost a bomb had there been some registration money involved. But for the good relations with the conductor, this would not have been free. Dr. Ashok Sanghavi distributed a booklet on the subject.Let us try to reproduce the 10 commandments of Positive thinking from the book.

Positive thinking is management of IDEAS. Never reject an idea because

1) You see something wrong with it.

2) You will not get credit for it
or
3) It is impossible to implement
or
4) You have already made up your mind
or
5) It is illegal
or
6) You do not have money, manpower, muscles or months(time) to achieve it
or
7) It will create conflict

8) It is not your way of doing things

9) It maight fail

10) It is sure to succeed

Do not stop experimenting with IDEAS because of the above apprehensions. Give it a go and you do not know what will bring glory to you.

But, what we want to say is had Kantibhai asked Yuvak Mandal to develop the web site for Samaj and not Yuvak Mandal that would have served larger interest of the community as a whole. It is very open secret that Yuvak Mandal & Motu Mandal do not see eye to eye and have some unresolved issues between them. For example, Yuvak Mandal will not publish any donation to Mota Mandal in Samaj Utkarsh. Yuvak Mandal will not provide pages in the monthly for printing activities of Mota Mandal.
