Coffee Table

An American Indian walked into a cafe with a shotgun in one hand and a bucket of buffalo manure in the other. He says to the waiter, 'Me want coffee.'

The waiter says, 'Sure chief, coming right up...'

He gets the American Indian a tall mug of coffee..., and he drinks it down in one gulp, picks up the bucket of manure, throws it into the air, blasts it with the shotgun, then just walks out.

The next morning he returns. He has his shotgun in one hand and a bucket of buffalo manure in the other.

He walks up to the counter and says to the waiter, 'Me want coffee.'

The waiter says, 'Whoa, Tonto! We're still cleaning up your mess from yesterday. What the heck was all that about, anyway?'

He smiles and proudly says, 'Me training for top management position: Come in, drink coffee, shoot some crap, leave mess for others to clean up, disappear for rest of the day...

Driver Flips Car And Finishes Off-Road Race

While competing in the "Parker 425 Off-Road Race" in Arizona the driver of the Corvette engine-powered "Rally Fighter"
performed a full frontal flip and continued the race, finishing the grueling 425-mile event as a respectable 4th place winner.

To React or To Respond?!

Read the following story to help you understand the need to Respond to situations & events, than to React to it!

Suddenly a cockroach flew from somewhere and sat on her. I wondered if this was the cockroach’s response to all the glory that was spoken about it! She started screaming out of fear. With panic stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with a desperate attempt to get rid of the cockroach. Her reaction was contagious as everyone in her group got cranky to what was happening…..

The lady finally managed to push the cockroach away, but it landed on another lady in the group. Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama. After watching the fun for a while, the waiter came forward to their rescue. In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter. The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behaviour of the cockroach on his shirt. When he was confident enough that the cockroach has settled down, he grabbed and threw it out of the open window.

Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, I started to wonder ……. was the cockroach responsible for their histrionic behaviour? If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed? He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos. That means, it was not the cockroach but the inability of those ladies to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach that disturbed the them and the whole group!

Similarly, realize the fact that it is not the shouting of the boss / colleagues / wife / husband / son / daughter or other day-to-day happening that disturbs a person, but the inability of the person to handle such situations in a matured way disturbs him/her. More than the traffic jams, our inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam disturbs us …..!

Means, more than the problems, often it is our reactions to the problems that disturbs and hurts us….

Moral: Do not React to all twists and turns of our life spontaneously, but understand the situation and Respond to it Wisely ….

Dornier 17 - lifted from the seabed on 10th June 2013

After weeks of preparation dives by Seatech from the GPS Marine platform 'Apollo', the weather was finally in our favour for a second attempt at the lift from the seabed. Witness the successful raising of the Dornier 17 (WW II Bomber) from on board the lifting platform. 'It was like bringing up a sleeping monster from out of the sea'. The aircraft is now on display at the RAF Museum Cosford housed in two hydration tunnels.

આ બીસીસીઆઈ સાથે સંકળાયેલાં ભેજાં જો ‘રામાયણ’માં હોત તો શું થાત?…

કાર્યકારી અધ્યક્ષ એ કાંઈ નવી વાત નથી! ‘રામાયણ’માં ભરત પોતે કાર્યકારી અધ્યક્ષ બન્યા હતા અને રામના વતી પોતે વહીવટ સંભાળ્યો હતો. પરંતુ એની પાછળની ભાવના આજના શ્રીનિવાસન કે દાલમિયાની ભાવના કરતા અલગ હતી. 
આ બીસીસીઆઈ સાથે સંકળાયેલાં ભેજાં જો ‘રામાયણ’માં હોત તો શું થાત?… 
-રામસીતાએ વનમાં જવું જ ના પડત! અને જો જવું જ પડ્યું હોત તો અયોધ્યાથી બહુ દૂર જવું ન પડ્યું હોત! અયોધ્યા નગરીની બહાર આવેલા કોઈ ફાર્મહાઉસને, ઠરાવ પસાર કરીને જંગલની વ્યાખ્યામાં લાવી દીધું હોત! રામસીતા અને લક્ષ્મણ માટે ત્યાં એસીની સગવડ વાળી ઝૂંપડી બાંધી દીધી હોત. 
-હનુમાન, સુગ્રીવ, અંગદ વગેરેનો સલામતી દળમાં સમાવેશ થઈ ગયો હોત! બાકીના વાનર, રીંછ વગેરે રિઆલીટી શોમાં પોતપોતાની કરતબો દેખાડતા હોત. 
-રાવણ સાથે સંધી થઈ ગઈ હોત કે: એલઓસી પાર કરીને અયોધ્યાની હદમાં આવવું નહિ. એ સિવાયના દેવ કે દાનવના કોઈ પણ પ્રદેશમાં મન પડે એમ કરવું. અયોધ્યાની વિદેશ નીતિ મુજબ  અયોધ્યાની સરકાર એમાં માથું મારશે નહિ.
– રાવણ સીતાજીનું હરણ કરવાના બદલે સીતાજી જે વિસ્તારની ઝૂંપડીમાં એકલા હોય એ આખા વિસ્તાર પર જ પોતાનો કબજો જમાવી દેત. અને ત્યારે આ નેતાઓ ઠાવકાં ઠાવકાં નિવેદનો કરતા હોત કે- સીતાજીનું હરણ થયું છે એવું ટેકનિકલી કહી ન શકાય! હા, સીતાજીના નિવાસસ્થાનની આસપાસના અલ્પ અને અવાવરું વિસ્તાર પર દબાણ થયું હોવાનું માલુમ પડ્યું છે. પરંતુ, એ તમામ સમસ્યાઓનો ઉકેલ વાટાઘાટો દ્વારા આવી જશે. ચિતાનો કોઈ પ્રશ્ન જ નથી.
